• Greek: success = perfection

• but then we claim imperfection is good in religion

• conflict

• Study of Failure as Philosophy

Location

• it seems there are many ways to fail and only way tosuccess

• failure is common, but always fail is not common because people can switch path easily

• because people switch path, unfinished work is considered failure

• "we have begun to look at a work as somehow complete at every point in its development"

• artist define correct by their own behavior, but viewer suspend judgement

The Frontier

• genuine failure cannot be intentional (therefore you define failure is subjective?)

• edge: edge between acceptable and failure - our limitation

The Forms of Failure

• 1. standard too high
• 1. not artists' own idea
• 1. wrong timing, when people's expectation don't meet
• 1. wrong scale and perspective

Intentional Existence

• we share our success, and hide our failure

• thus we protect our friends from their failure (but may it damage who we try to protect)

• recognized failure is not serious -> an acknowledged failure does not exist (?)

• Imagine a list of failure in resume!

• FAILURE OF BIG IDEA ARE MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN THE SUCCESS OF LITTLE ONES (SNS“GALAX”)
