There are kinds of bikes:
EBike: sit straight, high gear ratio, one gear, foldable
Folding Bike: foldale
Gravel Bike: can carry stuff, less gears (10), more relax geometry
Road Bike: thin wheel, can't carry stuff, many gears (22)

Mountain Bike: less gears
Wheel width: thin wheel faster, but very bumpy
Sitting: don't sit straight. You should support with bot your hand and spine, reducing vibration.
Price: 2nd-hand is good, since they are cheap. A bike can be stolen even it is locked. A lower-price bike also cost less to maintain.
Suspension Fork: reduce vibration (travel: how much it compress)
hardtail: front fork only, shock in the rear
full suspension: shock in the rear
